A Muslim boy has been brutally beaten while drinking water at a Hindu temple in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh.
According to Indian media reports, the incident of violence against a Muslim boy took place in the Ghaziabad district of Uttar Pradesh, while a video of the incident was shared on social media last week in which a man can be seen torturing a Muslim boy.
On the other hand, social media users also raised their voices to bring justice to the Muslim boy. The hashtags 'Sorry Asif' and 'Asif Want Justice' started gaining popularity.
The human rights group has expressed concern over the rising incidence of such incidents in India, saying attacks by Hindu extremists on other minority groups, including Muslims, have increased in the state of Uttar Pradesh in recent years.
