According to the details, several scientific studies confirm that the human body needs to eat more fruits and vegetables daily to avoid the risk of various diseases in order to avoid diseases that can cause death. But the question arises, what is the daily requirement of these nutrients to protect health?
According to a study published in Sydney Magazine, a diet rich in fruits and vegetables reduces the risk of many chronic diseases that can lead to death, such as coronary heart disease and cancer.
Even so, it is estimated that only one in ten people eat a safe amount of food.
A recent study published in the American Heart Association's Circulation Journal determined the daily intake of fruits and vegetables that could be considered ideal for longevity.
After analyzing data from more than 2 million people worldwide, dietitian and Harvard University researcher Dong De Wang concluded that eating fruits and vegetables five times a day reduces the risk of death. However, it has been clarified that eating more than this does not mean that there will be more benefits.
In this study, experts have revealed that eating vegetables three times a day and fruits twice a day can lead to a longer life. Such people have a 12% reduction in heart disease, a 10% reduction in cancer and a 35% reduction in respiratory disease.
Studies have shown that not all fruits and vegetables have the same nutritional benefits. Varieties like corn, peas, fruits and potatoes have nothing to do with reducing mortality.
But leafy vegetables such as spinach, lettuce and cabbage, fruits and vegetables rich in vitamin C and carotene, such as carrots and berries are more beneficial to the body.
It should be noted that the American Heart Association recommends eating half of the fruits and vegetables on the plate at each meal.
