| Facebook has made a big decision to prevent fake news against the corona vaccine |
New York: (Web Desk) The popular social media website Facebook has decided to label all posts spreading awareness about the corona vaccine.
Facebook's decision follows criticism from researchers and politicians who believe it is allowing Facebook to use its platform to spread misinformation about the vaccine.
According to the British news agency Reuters, Facebook said that the process of labeling the posts related to the injection of Corona vaccine has started, however, all the posts related to the vaccine will be labeled soon.
According to Facebook, all posts related to Corona will be labeled with a specific message stating that vaccines undergo safety and efficacy tests before approval. This label will be applied not only to Facebook but also to Instagram posts.
Misinformation about the corona virus vaccine has been spread on social media during the global epidemic. Facebook and Instagram have recently introduced policies that identify and prevent posts based on misinformation.
Chris Cox, Facebook's chief product officer, says the company takes posts that spread false information very seriously.
Since February this year, 2 million additional posts have been removed from Facebook and Instagram that were spreading misinformation about the corona virus and the vaccine.
